So yeah, we’ve no been exactly active lately, mainly because of some struggling with the new design behind the scenes. This all should change pretty soon though.
Meanwhile, we really couldn’t not make a small return for the huge pop event that is Sing It. 4 singles in we believe it’s about time for a full album from Miss Black!

Here’s the video for 30 Days, the new Saturdays single that will be released in… 42 days. Is it as good as White Lies? Nah. But we already have White Lies, so we quite appreciate getting a pretty good new single instead. We need a few more plays to determine if this is or isn’t one of their better singles, but there’s no doubt this one will be entering our song chart this weekend! So yeah, we’re pretty happy.

We’ve got some serious Madonna domination going on in this week’s charts. And no, in case you wonder, we don’t consider Girl Gone Wild to be the best thing on her new album, but with the video coming out last week, play counts also being a factor in determining songs’ positions, and the other songs still having to grow on us, it still came out on top. However, we won’t be surprised if some of the other songs will still work their way up in the next few weeks.

Poor poor Masterpiece for being the only MDNA song that failed to chart. We do like it, we’ve just had it lying around for 3 months now, so not much ‘new album excitement’ there.

With all the Madonna madness you’d almost forget (or just not care) that Eva Simons also has a decent new single out, and Katy Perry released a cash-in edition of her last album, with a few rather nice new songs on there. As for the other new entries, the Melanie Fiona and Lana Del Rey albums are still growing on us with each week.

We can’t say we didn’t see it coming, but this week’s a bit of a massacre! With 18 songs leaving now, we wonder what our chart is going to be like by the end of the year, when all the great new albums come out at once..

This rather bizarre low budget video isn’t really what we’d imagine when listening to Little Jackie’s Motown pop, but in being cute, a bit silly, and leaving us with a big smile on our face, it still possessed similar qualities to their music. As for the song… well, it’s impossible not to cheer up when listening to miss Jackie. Their album, Made4TV is now already 7 months old, but with spring upon us this one’s definitely going to stay in our cd player a while longer.

It took us a little while, but we caved in and have now decided that Starships, unnecessary dance breaks aside, is in fact quite the anthem. As is Cascada’s new single, which was actually serious competition for this week’s number 1.
